Chris Pratt Is Promoting The Hallow App, The Pro Life Prayer App Funded By Peter Thiel

Hollywood actor Chris Pratt has become the latest celebrity to face public scrutiny for promoting the Hallow Daily Prayer App, a subscription-based platform backed by billionaire Peter Thiel and Vice President JD Vance. The app has drawn criticism for featuring prominent anti-abortion voices and requiring users to pay for access to prayer content.

Among the app’s featured voices is Lila Rose, founder of Live Action, whose offerings include a “litany for life” emphasizing respect for human life “from the moment of conception to the moment of natural de ath.” The platform’s celebrity roster also includes Mark Wahlberg and QAnon activist Jim Caviezel.

For many observers, Pratt’s involvement comes as little surprise. The actor has long been open about his devout Christian faith, though his religious affiliations have repeatedly sparked controversy. He has maintained connections to churches criticized for their stances on LGBTQ+ issues, and his public persona has increasingly aligned with conservative values.

The Hallow app itself represents a growing trend of commercializing spiritual practices that have traditionally been freely accessible. Critics have pointed out the irony of charging users for prayer, with some drawing comparisons to historical religious controversies over the monetization of faith.

Pratt’s brother, a law enforcement officer, was identified by the Southern Poverty Law Center in connection with the Three Percenters, a far-right militia movement. The actor notably remained silent when this information became public in 2021.

Pop star Gwen Stefani has also come under fire previously for her promotional partnership with the Hallow prayer app. Stefani appeared in holiday-themed promotional material for the subscription-based platform, describing it as a tool for finding peace and strengthening one’s faith.

However, critics quickly pointed to the app’s political and financial ties, arguing that her involvement lends mainstream credibility to a platform many view as ideologically driven.

Both Vice President JD Vance and billionaire investor Peter Thiel have previously made public statements that opponents describe as hostile to women’s rights. Scrutiny intensified after users highlighted several prayers on the app opposing abortion access, including in cases of r*pe and in*est.
