Comedian Bill Burr Has The Wildest Take On Epstein Files Thus Far

Bill Burr recently talked about the ongoing controversy surrounding the Epstein files on his podcast. But instead of focusing strictly on the legal fallout or alleged cover-ups, the comedian took the discussion in an unexpected direction.

Rather than dissecting the details of Jeffrey Epstein’s illegal network, Burr framed the scandal through the lens of race and immigration politics. He specifically called out what he described as “super racist people” who blame illegal immigrants for America’s problems, arguing that the outrage often seems selective.

“I have to plug back into the news because just half the stuff I’m hearing about these Epstein files,” Burr said. “I have to get back in because I just want to hear all these super racist f**king people who think the problem in this country is all of these illegal immigrants.”

He then contrasted immigration fears with the illegal activities tied to Epstein’s circle. “You know, there’s a bunch of white guys going to an island and harming children,” Burr stated, implying that critics who obsess over immigration are noticeably quieter when wealthy elites are implicated.

Burr pushed the argument further by asking listeners to imagine being judged collectively for the actions of a handful of powerful individuals who share their race.

“What if the handful of billionaire white guys that went down there and did those horrible things, what if you were then judged by that?” he asked. “What if it wasn’t compartmentalized? What if it was just white people? I just don’t know what the f**k has to happen for people to finally wake up and look up instead of looking down.”

The reaction, however, hasn’t been overwhelmingly positive. Some longtime listeners have criticized Burr for blending the Epstein scandal with immigration politics, arguing that the comparison feels forced. Reports suggest engagement on certain recent podcast episodes has dipped, with one episode showing significantly more dislikes than likes, and comment sections reflecting growing frustration among fans.

Burr has also faced scrutiny over his appearance at the Riyadh Comedy Festival, where he reportedly performed for a substantial payday. Critics have questioned the optics of condemning billionaire misconduct while accepting lucrative bookings connected to wealthy foreign interests.
