In a recent segment on Jake Shields’ podcast, controversial internet personality Gypsy Crusader detailed the moment he lost access to his training facility following coordinated pressure from activist groups. The incident marked another chapter in a series of events that dramatically altered the course of his life.
The influencer, who previously trained as a fighter with documented bouts on YouTube, explained how his gym became a target. “They went to my gym to my trainer,” he recounted, describing how activists contacted his coach directly. Despite his reluctance to name the facility, he emphasized he harbored no resentment toward the gym owner’s decision.
“I’ve never turned out for political belief,” he stated, noting he had trained alongside individuals holding vastly different ideological views. “I understood why he did and I wasn’t mad at him.”
According to his account, the gym owner faced an ultimatum from Black Lives Matter representatives. “He told me, ‘Look, with all the stuff that’s going on which you did…Black Lives Matter got in contact with me and said if I don’t kick you out of the gym that they’re going to protest outside of it and they’re going to try to shut the gym down.'”
This incident proved to be the culmination of mounting pressures. “At that point I had lost everything,” he explained. “I couldn’t work. I couldn’t train. My parents and my family were infuriated.” The combination of losing employment opportunities, training access, and family support pushed him into what he described as “a really dark place.”
The timing coincided with pandemic-related restrictions, compounding his isolation. Though he maintained financial stability, the psychological impact was significant. “When COVID hit and you have no job, no nothing to do…it’s like it still messed my head up really bad.”
This period ultimately led him toward online content creation. After discovering similar personalities on Omegle, he recognized an opportunity to share his narrative. “I have a really good story to tell people and I think people really like it,” he said, explaining his motivation to begin streaming conversations that would eventually generate widespread attention.
The gym ended up pushing him toward the controversial online persona that now defines his public presence and attracts millions of views across various platforms.
