In a recent appearance on Bradley Martyn’s Raw Talk podcast, 19-year-old influencer Clavicular opened up about his controversial journey with PEDs that began when he was just 14 years old. The conversation revealed surprising details about his early use of testosterone and other compounds, motivated by a singular goal: facial masculinization.
When asked about his early st**oid use, Clavicular confirmed he began testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) at age 14. “Testosterone is not for vertical height growth. It actually will serve to detriment you which a lot of people don’t realize because of the aromatization into estrogen that’s going to cause your growth plates to fuse,” he explained. “So it was more for facial masculinization, going for a more dimorphic look and developing the facial bones, things of this nature. Just going for an overall masculinized look early into my life.”
The motivation behind starting so young stemmed from his understanding of developmental windows. Clavicular explained that he wanted to optimize his growth pathways during puberty, believing that pharmaceutical intervention during this critical period would yield better results than waiting until adulthood.
His pharmaceutical journey didn’t stop with testosterone. At 16, Clavicular added human growth hormone (HGH) to his regimen. “I started that when I was 16 for a little bit more vertical growth,” he said. He also experimented with Masteron, a DHT derivative, specifically for penile development.
“Your penile development stops when you’re around 16. So if you were to use DHT gel while you’re developing, you’re going to have gains for sure,” he claimed.
Throughout his teenage years, Clavicular maintained he used various compounds including aromatase inhibitors, all aimed at optimizing his physical development. He estimated having “probably like 80 vials of steroids” in his college dorm room before being expelled after just three weeks for possession—though he insisted he wasn’t selling them.
Clavicular’s parents, including his mother who was a competitive bodybuilder herself, strongly opposed his PED use. “They hate it,” he admitted. “They used to always take away my st**oids. So there’d be times where I’d be screwed. I’d have to go like a month without pinning while I was resourcing gear. I’d have to ship it to a P.O. box or just have them hold it at the post and they’d always be taking away my vials. So I’d have to hide vials of test in like 10 different locations to avoid going hypogonadal when I was in puberty.”
Despite his parents’ attempts to intervene, Clavicular described himself as “a very independent kid” who couldn’t be stopped. “My parents tried to stop me but no one could. It was not their fault that I am the way that I am,” he said.
When asked if he had concerns about his choices, Clavicular expressed only one regret: “The main thing that I regret is not being more well read on pharmacology before starting doing roids. But at the end of the day, almost no one is.” He maintains that while he doesn’t advocate for others to follow his path, he views his decisions through a cost-benefit lens focused on achieving specific aesthetic goals.
On fertility concerns from early st**oid use, Clavicular appeared unconcerned, noting he uses hCG and plans to use HMG when ready for children. “It’s so rare. It’s like one in 100,000 chance of going fully infertile from testosterone,” he stated.
Clavicular framed his extreme approach within what he calls “looksmaxxing,”doing whatever it takes to improve physical appearance. He referenced bodybuilding icon Rich Piana’s “whatever it takes” philosophy as a major inspiration.
“I was always just like a pretty low-inhibition guy. I don’t really get concerned,” he said when asked if anything was off-limits in his pursuit of aesthetic improvement.
His message to critics is pragmatic: concealed improvements carry no social cost. “If you conceal your looksmaxxing, it could only serve to benefit you,” he argued, suggesting that unlike visible modifications, pharmaceutical enhancement remains invisible to observers while delivering results.
Clavicular’s story is extreme and he explicitly states “I never advocate anyone to do this.” However, his discussion reveals the lengths some young men will go to in pursuit of what they perceive as physical optimization.
