LAX Manager fired after she exposed sensitive info in TikTok “Day in the Life”

A Los Angeles International Airport retail manager’s quest for TikTok fame has cost her job after she inadvertently exposed sensitive security information in what she described as a harmless “day in the life” video.

According to sources, he former MAC Cosmetics manager worked at a store inside LAX’s secure area. She filmed herself throughout an entire workday, capturing everything from her morning arrival to her evening cash handling procedures. What started as routine workplace content quickly became a security nightmare for airport authorities.

The video, which has since gone viral for all the wrong reasons, shows the manager entering restricted areas while openly displaying her security badge and access credentials. Most alarmingly, viewers can clearly see her punching in security codes to access employee-only zones and cash handling areas.

“Good morning, excuse me, sorry, good morning,” she cheerfully greets colleagues in the opening moments, her phone camera capturing detailed views of secure corridors and operational spaces that were never meant for public viewing.

The footage reveals far more than typical behind-the-scenes content. The manager documented her entire cash management routine, including the exact times and locations where register funds are collected and deposited. She showed herself retrieving money from a central cash office and discussed daily sales figures while walking through areas requiring TSA clearance.

“It is currently 10.29am and I have still only had six customers,” she mentions in one segment, seemingly oblivious to the sensitive information surrounding her as she films in what appears to be a restricted cash handling facility.

Social media users were quick to point out the serious security implications. One commenter noted, “She showed herself going through security flashing her badge which is a big no and logging into the register.” Another added, “You can watch her punching in her access codes. She’s an idiot.”

The video’s impact extends beyond individual security breaches. Airport retail operations typically involve centralized cash collection systems that serve multiple stores, meaning her documentation potentially compromised security protocols for the entire terminal area.

Airport employment requires extensive background checks and security clearances, with workers regularly trained on the strict protocols governing what can and cannot be documented or shared publicly. The woman’s filming violated multiple layers of these security measures.

Even more puzzling to observers was her decision to continue documenting her experience after being terminated. The former manager posted additional content showing herself leaving the airport with her belongings, maintaining her filming routine even during the termination process.

“This girl was fired because she recorded everything she did at work at L.A. airport, including access codes, staff spaces that could not be shown, total daily sales and even after being fired she continued to record,” noted one social media user who shared the story.

Airport environments, already subject to heightened security measures, represent particularly sensitive locations where documentation can pose serious risks.

“I love my job. I would have never done anything to jeopardize it,” the manager stated in one part of her video, apparently unaware that her very act of filming was doing exactly that.

The former manager has since indicated that while the airport made the termination decision, she maintains a good relationship with the MAC brand and is exploring other opportunities within the company.
