Prosecutors Drop Charges Against Controversial Looksmaxxer Clavicular

The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office has announced it will not pursue charges against influencer Clavicular (real name Braden Peters), following his February 7th detention at a Scottsdale nightclub.

According to sources, Peters was initially detained on suspicion of entering a bar with a forged identification document and possessing prescription-only pills. Scottsdale police had recommended two felony charges for possession of a forged instrument and possession of dangerous d**gs, along with a misdemeanor charge related to underage venue entry.

County Attorney’s Office spokesperson Erin Pellett explained the decision, stating that prosecutors determined “there was no reasonable likelihood of conviction” in the case.

The incident began when law enforcement monitored Peters’ public broadcasts, observing his activities in Old Town Scottsdale. According to court proceedings, officers had been tracking his online content when they witnessed him attempting to enter Casa Amigos nightclub. The arrest took place on the street, where Peters was detained and transported to the local detention facility.

During court testimony, prosecutors claimed Peters had been broadcasting himself approaching people in Old Town Scottsdale asking if he could obtain Adderall, with no evidence of a valid prescription .

At his initial appearance, the state raised concerns about Peters being a flight risk, noting his Florida residency and lack of established ties to Arizona. Court documents acknowledged his substantial online presence and income potential.

“It should be noted that the defendant is a well-known live broadcaster on live broadcasting platform Kick.com, earning over a reported $100,000 in January 2026,” court records read.

The judge set specific conditions for Peters’ release, including mandatory court appearances on February 23rd and February 26th. The restrictions included avoiding the location where the alleged offenses occurred, refraining from consuming any medi cations without valid prescriptions, and remaining in Arizona until the legal matter was resolved.

Following his release, Peters briefly addressed his audience, acknowledging he spent the night in custody and confirming that the charges and booking photograph were publicly available. However, he indicated he could not discuss case details, noting that his regular content would need to pause “for a little while.”
