Fresh and Fit co-host Myron Gaines, already under scrutiny from Louis Theroux‘s Netflix documentary on the manosphere, is now facing a separate and deeply uncomfortable line of questioning.
YouTube personality and podcast host Ethan Klein confronted Gaines directly over claims that young female guests, some of them under 21, were allegedly being handed beverages and placed in social situations on camera that implied they were participating in activities reserved for adults of legal age.
The confrontation centered on video footage and self-identified guests that Klein presented during the exchange. One guest, who appeared on camera and introduced herself as Zoey, stated plainly, “My name is Zoey. I’m 18 years old.”
Klein pointed to what he described as a pattern, referencing footage from multiple occasions, including what was labeled a “Cinco de Drunko” party filmed in the studio, where the same guest was visible in the background.
When Klein pressed Gaines on the matter, Gaines offered an explanation that Klein found unconvincing. “Number one, some girls lie and say I’m 21,” Gaines said.
Klein immediately pushed back, noting that the guest in question had stated her age openly and on camera while Gaines was present.
Gaines then shifted his explanation. “The second one, if we know that they’re not 21, we put water in their cups and we do the Instagram story anyway,” he said.
Klein was not satisfied. “How did I know that you were going to say they’re drinking water?” he responded, making clear that the explanation felt rehearsed rather than credible.
Klein sarcastically elaborated further, saying, “I give them red cups that are traditionally used for drinking out of them, and then I make it look like I’m drinking with minors, just so they don’t feel left out.”
His reaction was pointed. “That’s what you said, which is weird,” he replied, before Gaines attempted to redirect the conversation by asking whether Klein had ever been underage at a social gathering himself.
Klein dismissed the deflection. “It’s not the minors’ responsibility,” he said. “You’re 34. Participating in social situations with 18-year-olds is just pathetic and weird.”
Gaines continued attempting to explain the dynamic. “The underage girls drink water, and then the people that are of age, they want to drink when they show up. And then the girls that are older, we’ll give them one or two at the most, because we don’t want them getting in bad shape when they’re of age. What’s the problem with that?”
Klein was direct in his response: “I’ve seen lots of dr*nk girls in your studio, man.”
