Joe Rogan Called Zohran Mamdani A ‘Psychopath’ for Allowing Illegal Citizens

During a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience with author Michael Malice, host Joe Rogan sharply criticized New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani while discussing the city’s newly proposed budget.

The conversation unfolded when the two examined Mamdani’s fiscal year 2027 budget plan. According to reports, the proposal allocates an additional $1.2 billion to support migrants arriving in New York City, a figure that immediately annoyed Rogan.

“He’s a f**king psychopath. Like, the amount for migrants is crazy,” Rogan said bluntly. “There should be zero dollars for illegal immigrants.”

Malice pushed back, arguing that migrants still require basic necessities. “Human beings need food. What are you going to do?” he asked.

“Get them jobs,” Rogan replied, before joking, “Get him a job in Guatemala,” when pressed on how that process would work.

Malice countered that providing food might be preferable to increasing job competition for American citizens. “Wouldn’t you rather give them food than a job? I don’t want them taking American citizens’ jobs,” he said.

Despite their back-and-forth, both agreed the immigration system is deeply flawed. Rogan stated: “Well, the whole thing’s a mess.”

Malice stated: “The whole thing’s a mess. But the point is you can’t just throw them away.”

“Unless you’re going to remove them from the country,” Rogan joked at one point.

Mamdani’s $127 billion budget proposal has also drawn criticism from others. An editorial from The Washington Post questioned the scale of the plan, noting that the total spending exceeds the budgets of 47 U.S. states and would reportedly increase taxes for more than 3 million city residents.

The piece also criticized what it described as insufficient spending cuts, saying Mamdani’s claimed $1.7 billion in reductions was “a laughable number” compared to the scale of expansion.

Mamdani has previously voiced support for abolishing ICE, confirming his stance during a January appearance on The View. He has also promoted policies such as universal free childcare, including for undocumented immigrants.
