Florida Influencers Arrested For Driving Lawnmower Through Target

Two Florida teenagers were arrested on April 25th after driving a ridable lawnmower through a Target store in a stunt filmed for social media. Luke Charske and Janek Szkaradek, both 18, unloaded the mower from a trailer before approaching the store dressed in overalls and a cowboy hat, shirtless.

Szkaradek drove the mower directly into the store’s sliding glass doors, shattering one panel before throwing it in reverse and attempting to enter again. He then drove in circles outside the entrance as shoppers pulled their children away from the scene. The stunt ended quickly, and the pair loaded the mower back into the trailer before police arrived and placed them both in handcuffs.

Szkaradek was charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. Charske was charged as a principal to disorderly conduct for his role in recording the incident. Both were released on Sunday.

Charske had already built a following of over 600,000 Instagram followers through consistent, high-effort content centered on learning new skills rapidly. His account showed real talent and growth without any need for controversy.

Szkaradek, by contrast, openly identifies as a failed fitness influencer in his own Instagram bio and had pivoted to an account called “Janek Trolls,” dedicated to harassing the public. His previous content includes blasting music in crowded spaces, bothering homeless individuals, and using a leaf blower inside a Culver’s restaurant, which he filmed the night before the Target incident using Meta Glasses.

Following the arrests, Szkaradek updated his profile photo with his mugshot and pinned a post celebrating the whole ordeal. Charske’s face was blocked out in the post, likely because being associated with lawnmower vandalism does not align with his brand as a positivity and fitness influencer. That said, the connection is already public record.

Retail workers caught in the middle of the stunt faced a genuinely unsettling situation. The moment the glass door shattered, the prank crossed into territory that had nothing to do with entertainment. Low pay and long shifts already define the job without adding the uncertainty of a lawnmower coming through the front entrance.
