A social media personality who has built his brand around projecting dominance and “alpha male” status is now facing a very different kind of spotlight after YouTube content creator Jon Bravo unearthed a 2007 arrest record showing Ben Azoulay was taken into custody for assaulting a young woman when he was just 17 years old.
Bravo, who has been documenting Azoulay’s online behavior for some time, revealed that the subject had been quietly working to scrub his name from internet searches to prevent exactly this kind of discovery.
“He’s been going on all these internet sites to try to hide his name so he can never come up in the searches,” Bravo said. The effort ultimately failed.
What Bravo uncovered was a restraining order filed on September 17, 2007, in the state of California, granted for the maximum term of five years, running through September 16, 2012. The order protected not only the young woman, who was in a relationship with Azoulay at the time, but also her mother, her father, and her three-year-old sister.
In the restraining order, the young woman described the first incident: “Hit in the face, head, and legs, pulled my hair, struck me repeatedly, yelled, name-called, verbal abuse, verbal intimidation. He chased me in his vehicle and struck my vehicle repeatedly, tried to open the back passenger door, and followed me to the Lost Hills Police Station where he was arrested and detained.”
The documents also noted that firearms and a baseball bat were present in his vehicle at the time.
The woman went on to describe approximately 10 consecutive incidents of physical abuse, and detailed a separate incident in which Ben “threatened himself, verbal abuse, slapped me twice in the face, grabbed me by the neck in his hands, threatened to hurt me even more. He was extr3mely angry and enraged, proceeded to hit things around the room.”
The court order prohibited him from contacting or coming near the woman, her family members, their home, vehicle, and even the child’s school or childcare facility, reflecting the court’s concern that his behavior extended to anyone in her orbit.
This 2007 arrest predates a subsequent conviction involving another young woman, and comes alongside a 2014 charge stemming from a restaurant altercation in which Watson allegedly became verbally aggressive and left without paying his bill. Throughout all of this, Ben has been presenting himself online as a figure on par with Andrew Tate and Charlie Kirk, positioning himself as a defender of strong, traditional masculinity.
Bravo addressed him directly: “You want to be this example of a man to teach these kids to be real men. Well, you know what the first thing about being a man is? It’s learning to admit your mistakes, not trying to run around and cover them up with some stories.”
