What started with a modest fundraising goal and a song about overcoming cancer turned into one of the most remarkable charitable achievements in internet history. Polish content creator Łatwogang, whose real name is Patryk Garkowski, has broken the world record for the largest creator-led charity fundraiser.
According to sources, he raised over 203 million złoty, approximately $56 million, during a nine-day YouTube marathon for the Cancer Figh ters Foundation.
The broadcast, which began on April 17, quickly caught the attention of all of Poland after a song titled “Ciągle tutaj jestem (diss na raka)” by rapper Bedoes 2115 and 11-year-old leukemia patient Maja Mecan went viral across the country.
What began with an original target of 500,000 złoty snowballed into something far beyond what anyone could have anticipated. Polish celebrities, influencers, and television stations started joining together to donate and support children battling cancer.
At its peak, the broadcast drew 1.6 million concurrent viewers, a jaw-dropping figure when you consider that Poland has a population of approximately 37 million people. That means more than 4% of the entire country tuned in and participated.
The energy throughout was extraordinary, with participants taking on fundraising challenges including shaving their heads in solidarity with young cancer patients. The final hours featured emotional appearances from children supported by the Cancer Fighters Foundation, along with their families and special guests.
The previous record for a creator-led charity fundraiser had been held by MrBeast, who raised $55 million in 2025, and even he took to social media to recognize what Łatwogang had pulled off. Commentary from across the content creator world reflected genuine admiration and disbelief, with observers noting how extraordinary it was to see an entire nation rally behind a cause so completely.
Crucially, every dollar raised went directly to the children who needed it most, with 100% of funds going to the foundation.
The original fundraising goal was just 500,000 złoty, a figure that seems almost modest now given what unfolded. Over nine days, that target was not just met but left far behind, with the final total rewriting what anyone thought was possible through charitable giving and online content.
