A Nashville-area steakhouse became the unlikely backdrop for the latest chapter in a long line of controversies surrounding online personality Dalton Levi Eatherly, better known to his audience as ChudTheBuilder. He was taken into custody in the early hours of May 10, 2026.
According to records from the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, Eatherly was admitted to the Downtown Detention Center at 4:46 AM. He faces three active misdemeanor charges: theft of services of $1,000 or less, disorderly conduct, and resisting a stop, frisk, halt, arrest, or search.

Bonds were set at $2,000 for the theft of services charge and $1,500 each for the disorderly conduct and resisting charges.
The events leading to his arrest began inside the restaurant, where Eatherly was reportedly asked by security to leave before a dispute erupted over an unpaid bill. Staff then contacted Metro Nashville Police after he allegedly refused to settle his tab.
Footage circulating widely on social media shows Eatherly, wearing a cowboy hat, being handcuffed by officers on a nearby sidewalk next to a bright green sports car.
The arrest comes just weeks after Eatherly was permanently banned from the live broadcasting platform Kick, following viral footage that showed him filming unsuspecting members of the public and continuing to engage with individuals who had visibly asked him to stop.
The ban added significant momentum to an already growing wave of criticism directed at his content, which had previously drawn accusations of racial harassment and repeated public confrontation during his broadcasts.
For those who have followed Eatherly’s online career, the Nashville incident feels less like an isolated event and more like a predictable extension of the persona he has built his platform around. His IRL broadcasting style, characterized by deliberately provocative interactions in public spaces, has generated major controversies.
As of this writing, no further updates to his Davidson County inmate record have been published.
