Female Bodybuilder Wants To Look Feminine After Years Of PED Use That Permanently Altered Her Physique

Lauren Powers, the self-described “muscle goddess” and 10-time bodybuilding champion, appeared on the TV show Botched seeking a more feminine appearance after years of intense bodybuilding and PED use that permanently altered her physique.

Powers went to plastic surgeons Dr. Terry Dubrow and Dr. Paul Nassif hoping to correct a series of breast surgeries gone wrong while also addressing changes that human growth hormone and st**roid use had made to her body.

“Going into the surgeries, I just wanted a more feminine look,” she told the cameras.

Her path to the operating table had been a long one. Powers had undergone 10 breast surgeries over the years, leaving her with misplaced nipples and significant scarring. “I’ve had nipples up around my ears,” she told the doctors. The repeated procedures, combined with PED use that had thinned her skin, created a complicated surgical situation.

Initially, Powers told the doctors she only used human growth hormone and not anabolic st*roids. However, pre-surgery lab work told a different story. Her anesthesiologist discovered abnormalities in her results, and Powers admitted she had taken st*roids as recently as two months before the procedure.

The medical team issued a stern warning: “St*roids can inhibit the ste**id-producing organs in your body. And if you stress them from surgery, it could be very dangerous and potentially harmful.”

The doctors also noted the visible effects of human growth hormone on her facial structure. “When you touch her skin, you can tell that it got a lot thicker because of the human growth hormone. No amount of cutting back on growth hormones or working out is going to fix this,” Dr. Dubrow explained, adding that surgery was her only option.

Despite the complications, the team moved forward with two procedures: a breast surgery to replace her larger implants with smaller ones reinforced with a mesh sling made from pig skin, and a facelift combined with a neck lift to create a softer jawline. The surgery lasted 8.5 hours.

At her post-op reveal, held at the Lauren Powers Classic fitness competition on her birthday, she stepped out in a gown with hair and full makeup. “Before the surgery, I had the turkey neck and I was wearing my nipples up around my ears as earrings. After surgery, no more gobble gobble. My breasts are smaller, more girly, and the nipples are perfect,” she said.

Despite the successful results, Dr. Nassif delivered a warning before she left. “Lauren, you said you wanted a softer, more feminine look, but you’re abusing anabolic st**oids. You’re going to throw all of our work out the window.”

Powers arrived at her reveal with a new man by her side, marking what she described as a turning point. “It’s thrilling to know that I attract the male species,” she said.
