A leaked internal memo from MrBeast‘s production company has surfaced online, revealing that the YouTube mogul’s staff were placed under strict food restrictions in order to help him stick to a personal diet plan. The message, which began circulating on social media outlined a set of rules that extended well beyond Jimmy Donaldson himself, targeting every person who came within his orbit during working hours.
The memo, addressed to “all Beast staff,” opened by noting the policy came from the top. According to the document, Donaldson was required to follow a strict diet built around pre-made meals, and if those meals were not available, he was limited to healthy food options only. What made the policy particularly notable, however, was what it demanded of the people around him.
“No one,” the memo read in its capitalized emphasis, was permitted to “order, eat, bring junk food, fast food with them anywhere that Jimmy is or on their way to meet him.” The prohibited list covered a wide range of products, including chips, soda, energy drinks, candy, and anything broadly considered unhealthy.

The document went further, deputizing the entire workforce as diet enforcers. Staff were encouraged to keep watch over their coworkers, and those who spotted Donaldson consuming something off-limits were given a peculiar financial incentive.
“If you see him consuming anything unhealthy and you record a video of yourself taking it from him and trashing it, I will personally send you $5 on PayPal every time you do,” the memo stated.
Employees who kept snacks or other prohibited items at the office were instructed to remove and discard them. Those found in possession of banned foods during work hours faced potential disciplinary action, though the memo noted that specific consequences were still “being decided on.”
In a line that drew considerable attention, the document attempted to reframe the boundaries of personal freedom on the clock: “What you do in your personal life is your business. While working, it is no longer considered your personal life.”
The reaction online was critical, with some questioning whether it is appropriate for a workplace to dictate what employees are allowed to eat while on the job.
If Jimmy himself isn’t willing to eat the food he sells, it raises the question of how he can expect others to do so.
